Yay or Nay

The Jungle Book themed show with its lashings of grosgrain glitter was the perfect backdrop for the new collection, which includes big, bold animal print (yup, it’s not going anywhere), bronze metallic Bayswaters (drool) and lots of variations on the Alexa satchel, which is becoming something of an it-bag. Can’t wait to see this tactile and lovable range hit the stores!

Got a talent for spinning a decent tune on the decks? A new range of DJ bags from knomo might be right up your street then.

The range has been designed by DJ Erick Morillo, the man behind hits like Reel 2 Real’s “I like to Move it” (retro music flashback anyone?)

This Lisbon trolley in an eye-catching yellow is perfect for loading up with your favourite CDs and records. You can also get it in black or brown, for ?195.

Haven’t got a clue about music? You can always use it to pull your laptop round town, and it’s just the right size for carry-on luggage.

This Small Frame Tooled Bag (?35) on the left from Topshop is the perfect substitute for a vintage find. The detailed leather bag has a slightly worn look that adds to its vintage feel, whilst the metal clasp adds a glimmer of Mary Poppins glamour.

Tintamar hope to ease the stress of packing with their selection of drawstring bags suitable for jewellery, cosmetics, plugs, socks and hair accessories and tools. It’s an attractive way to enforce a bit of organisation into your holiday haul. The reverse of the bags actually have a clear porthole-style window, which means you can easily check what you’ve packed. You could even use them at home, when transferring your make up from one handbag to another.

Designer Pick of the Week

One of the highlights of LFW for the Bag Lady is always seeing what Mulberry will put on for the occasion, and a quick glance at our runways snaps will give you a pretty good idea: we’ll all be going for gold next season!

This BParis shoulder bag from Faith is a smooth looking classic clutch, with a nice bit of detail reminiscent of some of the Fiorelli bags. The black and chain strap gives it pickupability, or you can just pop the strap in and use it as a chic clutch.

The ivory colour fits in nicely with this season’s trend for all things nude, and has just enough room for a camera and confetti (for all those summer weddings)

It also comes in black and brown, but the vibrant purple of this particular one really shows the textured detail. It also boasts a wealth of little internal pockets and a long strap.
