The allocated funding - which is for 2007 and would have to be reapproved to continue the program in 2008 - cannot be used to fund abortion services or referrals but does fund clinics that offer family planning services, chlamydia testing and Pap tests (Associated Press, 3/15).

According to the World-Herald, Gov.

Dave Heineman (R) said he would not veto the funds (Omaha World-Herald, 3/16).
