During complete case study we analysed that she had acne and irregular menses.

She had an Amebic infection though hair fall was her primary concern.

Her hair had become very scanty and limp and she was still losing it.

Hair fall and acne with irregular menses is a feature of ovarian diseases called Polycystic ovarian syndrome.

She had done her thyroid test and was normal.

Thus, we investigated that she had PCOS.

We started treating the underlying cause and also planned a diet chart for which brought about a change in her menses and greater improved hair problem.

And now there are no signs of PCOS.

Thus, by detecting her ovarian problem early we not only treated her hair and acne but also saved her from developing further complications like DM or hypothyroidism.Alopecia with dry hair weight gain with palpitations may be indicative of Hypothyroidism.Case V: A 29 years old patient visited our Dadar clinic with complaint of Alopecia and acne as her chief problem and other associated complaints.
